David Webb joined the staff as Church Administrator in January 2009. He accepted God’s call into ministry and began working towards a Master of Divinity at Campbell University in August of 2008. Originally from Suffolk, VA , David comes to JHBC from Elizabeth City, NC and First Baptist Church . There he served as a deacon and participated in the music and children’s ministry programs.
David is blessed to be married to his wife, the Rev. Heather Webb since 2000. She is also a student at Campbell University Divinity School and works as the Graduate Assistant for International Student Services at Campbell University.
They have a beagle named Lyla that keeps them on their toes with her antics. David spends free time serving in missions, traveling, playing trumpet and bass guitar, as well as, participating in or watching sports.
David was a history major at N.C.State (1993) with graduate studies in public history, also at N.C State. His continuing education includes a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke, and certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners. From 2003-2008, David served as a Senior Planner for CurrituckCounty. His career also includes work in historic sites, museums, and exhibit design.
